The 1 ½ day course includes an introduction to the OSH Act of 1970 which created the administrative office of OSHA, insights for navigating the OSHA web page, understanding incorporated research tools, and instruction on how to reference rules within the standard. Further in-depth study is provided on the following topics: • Safety and Health Programs • Introduction to Industrial Hygiene • Hazard communication • Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection • Personal Protective Equipment • Walking and Working Surfaces, including fall protection • Fall Protection • Electrical Course materials include: 29 CFR 1910 publication, and a Student Participation Packet: mandatory OSHA student handouts, PowerPoint slides, and other participatory activities/worksheets
