DOT Compliance Manager Training- Part 1
The DOT Compliance Manager Training Course is designed for personnel responsible for managing a motor carrier safety program. The course covers detailed requirements for managers and their associated duties and responsibilities, as well as the liabilities associated with motor carriers in transportation operations.
Day 1 (Motor Carrier Operation) - Students will learn about audits and when the DOT regulations apply to their company's operation. Students will learn when a driver is required to have a CDL and the specific class. Students will learn which additional permits and licenses are required by motor carriers when traveling out of state and within New Mexico and Texas.
Day 2 (Driver Compliance) - Students will learn the process for hiring qualified drivers, creating complete driver qualification files, Hours of Service rules and electronic logging device requirements, managing Drug and Alcohol testing programs and using Clearinghouse.
Day 3 (Vehicle Equipment) - Students will learn about Vehicle Maintenance Programs and requirements for vehicle files and discussion covering vehicle equipment standards in Part 393.
