This is a physical education activity course designed for people with any type of arthritis. Participants are led by a trained instructor that will provide well researched exercises to benefit those who have arthritis. The exercises are performed in a warm water pool.
By the end of the course students should maintain and or improve their….
1. level of pain and stiffness.
2. flexibility and joint range of motion.
3. muscular strength and muscular endurance.
4. balance and coordination.
5. overall health status.
The National Arthritis Foundation requires us to fill out a Participant's form yearly. A medical information sheet must also be filled out and kept updated for your file. Swimsuits are recommended. Participants may wear shorts and a T-shirt over swimsuit and pool shoes.
